The Hotel Die Sonne is one of those rare ski hotels where everything is taken care of. Five-course dinners, drinks all day, a shuttle to the slopes, childcare for the kids and a sauna waiting when you get back. All-inclusive skiing in Saalbach at its best.
The 4-star superior Hotel Die Sonne is a family-run all-inclusive hotel set in a quiet, sunny position between the villages of Saalbach and Hinterglemm in the Glemm Valley. The all-inclusive package is one of the most generous in the region, covering breakfast, lunch, an afternoon cake and soup buffet, a five-course dinner each evening and all drinks from 8am until midnight, including beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks. Themed dinner evenings add variety to the week, and vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free options are available throughout. It is the kind of set-up that lets you relax completely without worrying about extras.
The hotel sits approximately 900m from Saalbach village centre, with a bus stop right at the door and a downhill ski slope running alongside the hotel in winter. A complimentary Super Sonne shuttle service runs throughout the day, taking guests directly to the four main lift stations, the ski school and key points around the resort. From there, you have the full Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn at your feet, with 270km of pistes and 70 lifts to explore.
Rooms are available in modern or traditional alpine style, and all feature balconies, some with mountain views, flat-screen satellite TV, seating area, free Wi-Fi and soundproofing. Family rooms with separate living and sleeping areas are available for those who need extra space. The hotel is well set up for families of all ages, with a Sonne Mini Club offering childcare from age 2 in winter and age 4 in summer, up to six days a week including some evenings, giving parents genuine time to themselves.
The wellness offering is split across two areas. The Sonnenhaus is an adults-only zone for guests aged 15 and over, featuring a Finnish sauna, high-seat sauna, infrared cabin, brine steam bath, sanarium and a relaxation area with waterbeds. The Sonnenoase is the family-friendly area, with an indoor pool, infrared family island and a heated outdoor whirlpool with mountain views. A Zirben Spa offers Thai massages and beauty treatments for an additional charge, and there is a TechnoGym-equipped fitness room and yoga sessions as part of the weekly activity programme. Other facilities include a lounge with fireplace, free parking and ski storage.

Our BOBO Kinderland offers for younger skiers the perfect setting to experience a happy and colorful lessons. learning means for us that fun, games, and excitement are in the foreground. Progress in skiing are you doing by the way. While you are off enjoying yourself skiing your children will be looked after by qualified instructors from Sunday to Friday, daily from 09.45 to 15.30 Children aged 3.5 years and over are welcome.
